It’s hard to believe, but I realized I’ve been posting on bloom. for a year now! I’ve learned so much, both from the things that have worked and those that haven’t. In a life that’s often a whirlwind of activity, writing affords me the chance to slow down, reflect and share with all of you – and it’s something I can’t wait to keep doing.
But as much as I love writing, I won’t lie – there have been times, both before I started and now, when putting my words down on the page has seemed too daunting or scary to try. Who am I to think my own thoughts have more merit than someone else’s? After all, isn’t my blog just the tiniest sliver of an ever-growing internet, my words the equivalent of one more voice trying to be heard over all the noise?
And yet, when I think again about my purpose in writing this blog – to share the thoughts I think are most valuable with others; to build the kind of community that’s often lacking these days; to help people, even in some small way – I know the effort is worth it, every time.
In that spirit of reflection, here’s a look back at some of my favorite posts from the past year:
- Rethinking work-life balance.
- Finding the right motivation to work out.
- Celebrating summer (it’s not too far away)!
- Balancing productivity with relaxation.
- Getting creative with oatmeal.
That single birthday candle looks a little lonely, so I’m excited to continue posting here, hearing your feedback and hopefully, in some way, inspiring others to do what they love as well. Thanks so much for all of the support I’ve received over the past 12 months. I couldn’t have done it without you!
Do you have a particular topic you’d like to see more of here? Just let me know and I’ll do my best to work it into the schedule.
